3. What kind of animal life can I expect to visit the property?
|
|
There are lots of quail that we feed to keep near the house and raccoons are common for much of the year. We usually get a visit by deer, and maybe a mountain lion or a bear during any given year. The birds are plentiful like the wild flowers and are of many varieties.
When at this ranch one is living with nature to an extent not remotely possible in town.

There is access to Joshua Tree National Park as well as the Big Morongo Canyon Preserve which is renowned for bird watching activities. The valley's 3,000 foot elevation provides cool evenings that make summer living in Morongo much more pleasent than in the lower desert areas around Palm Springs.
If the hiking and climbing in Joshua Tree or the Wilderness area wears you out, Palm Springs and it's Spa environment is only minutes away. There you will find several gaming casinos, upscale shopping and dining as well as golf and other sporting venues to suit any enthusiast needs. The World Famous Palm Springs Aerial Tramway takes you almost a mile straight up Mt. San Jacinto.
